Help Those in Need

Updated: Nov 8, 2021

Here in Louisiana, we are only a week away from the end of the Carnival season (Mardi Gras falls on the 25th of February this year). For the past few years, I have walked in the Mid City Gras parade (our mascot is a squirrel) as part of the Mystic Cult of Hermes.

What I love about Mid City Gras is that our emphasis is on hand made throws. We try to throw as few plastic trinkets as possible (gotta love the Earth). This year I created miniature wooden magnets featuring my art work (limited edition :) ) and gave them out to parade attendees. I definitely felt as if I was channeling the Six of Pentacles.

Give freely to those that have little; to those that are in need.

I had a wagon full of goodies and it was my responsibility to hand them out.

Remember that balance is everything. If you have too much, distribute it to those who need it. If you are in need, take that which is offered with a thankful spirit.

We are all in this together. We need to help and love one another.

Enjoy the rest of your Carnival season.
