Most little girls, even in Victorian times, were not born with a tail. Miriam knew she was special from the beginning.
 
She quickly outgrew the fish bowl that her mother created for her. Her mother realized that a little cottage in southern Yorkshire would never be able to contain the wonder that was her daughter so she encouraged Miriam to pursue her dreams out in the wider world.
 
So Miriam the Mermaid Girl joined the Victorian Side Show
