I certainly understand that birds like to use unconventional materials to build their nests. What they find, they use, but sometimes the woodpecker may take this a little too far.
 
I don't think this black cat likes that his tail has been chosen as nest building material. Perhaps the woodpecker has forgotten that cats can climb trees and I think this cat very much wants his tail back.
